Hello World. At what point is rehabilitation not an option? I was talking with friends and the topic of rehabilitation was brought up. A mother had done the unthinkable with her daughter. Selling her daughter for sex. Yes, the unthinkable. Anyway. . . someone said, she can be rehabilitated says our society, and she will get out of prison after 9 years.
I blew a gasket. This woman has no potential for rehabilitation. In my opinion, there is no room here for rehabilitation, period. In my world . . . this person would never leave that prison.
If a society cannot protect its innocent from the evil, (and a mother dragging her daughter in a hotel to have sex with strangers is evil), then that society has lost its way.
At what point does society say . . . that's it . . . you are going away for good. Bye, bye. We had better " butch up" and call a spade a spade. This pussy footing around with outright "unreachable people" is a waste of time, energy and resources.
