Hello World. Patience, is what we are being asked to have . . . should the press have patience too? Should the press continue to sanitize the images of this war? Should the press continue to not show the thousands of coffins coming back home? Should the press not show the vicious, bloody, and explosive daily existence of our soldiers and fellow human beings in Iraq . . . ?
Where oh where is the press . . . ? You were cheerleaders in the effort to get us in this mess, "tune in for live coverage". . . so where are you now? Isn't your purpose to question without fail? Isn't your purpose to be the light of information (no matter how painful) between the government and the citizens? Isn't your purpose to leave no stone unturned to "get the story" . . . ?
What has happened to our journalists today . . . I contend they are caught up in the celebrity circus that is dumbing down our populous . . . ? Dining with the power, instead of testing their billion dollar, and bloody strategies through public scrutiny. Our millionaire faces of journalism, more focused on perfect hair, designer tweed suits, and Christian Louboutin pumps, than putting the fear inducing microphone in the faces of power, and asking the tough questions on behalf of your fellow citizens. What has happened to the press today? Where oh where is the press?
Be Heard.
