As America absorbs the magnitude of our loss . . . and it is a huge loss, we remember and honor Tim Russert. On this Father's Day weekend . . . this is especially painful.
Mr. Russert's love of family, was the invisible bouquet on every desk or table where we were privileged to watch him. Though invisible . . . we all saw that beautiful love of family bouquet. Big Russ . . . became America's dad. How gracious of Mr. Russert to share his love of family with us all.
He will be missed eternally for so many reasons . . . his depth of knowledge politically, legally, journalistic, and the skill of life that made it possible for him to connect so gracefully, while always being tough and fair. The great ones make it look so easy. Mr. Russert was the great one . . . indeed.
God bless the Russert family, friends, and colleagues . . . God speed great one . . .
