Can We The Spenders . . . Become We The Savers?

Hello World. With Americas new brutal reality of recession/depression . . . the lack of Americas savings rate is truly exposed.

With the reckless, spending over the many past decades . . . financed via freakish financial instruments . . . by freakishly over leveraged financial institutions . . . no wonder so many Americans are . . . over leveraged.

We The Spenders are fast becoming We The savers. The annual personal savings rate went from a sickly 0.2% in the 1st quarter of 2008 . . . to 3.6% in December of the same year.

The message of frugality, and living peacefully meager . . . is beginning to sink in. Maybe.

With the bone chilling economy . . . an unavoidable reality (stimulus package or not) saving something . . . anything is better than saving nothing at all. And restructuring life towards saving . . . is for damned sure better . . . than spending recklessly.

Here's to prudence!!!
