Wisconsin, and the historic recall elections of 2011!
The people of Wisconsin are being heard today... with their vote. The Tea Party supported Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker looks to be challenged in a big way by the people of the great state.
The people are not taking anything for granted. Progressive organizers, grassroots citizens, pure engagement and determination are bringing the people out on a hot August summer day in 2011. The people of Wisconsin have been holding historic rally's, collecting signatures, raising money, and spreading the word on the anti American, anti Middle Class, anti collective bargaining rights, anti Education agendas of Gov. Walkers Republicans state legislators.
Good luck Wisconsin Progressives on this historic Recall The Repubs Tuesday! Now go vote!

America, and American families are stunned with the loss of our finest men in Afghanistan. Prayers float through the air from our hearts for our military men, and their families.
This historic and tragic loss forces us to once again ask why are we in Afghanistan? What is America's mission in Afghanistan? Why and for what reason are our best and brightest dying? For who, and to what end are these ultimate sacrifices being required?
After ten years of war and the loss of our special forces, what is all this about?

Yesterday, Wall St. reacted to the S &P (Tea Party) downgrade, with the reactionary, historic, and jaw dropping 640+ stock market drop yesterday... today, we witnessed a 430 point clawback.
The REAL RAW RIGHT NOW... is such a maddening process, with very little progress for millions of Americans. It's is tough out here... the waters are rough and look to get rougher.
Crime, family stress, financial uncertainty, extensive unemployment... all are ongoing and systemic issues we deal with (directly or indirectly) daily.

Dr. Christina Romer former chair of President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers, appeared this past Friday on "Real Time With Bill Maher." Friday was the historic day Standard & Poor's announced America's credit rating was downgraded to AA+.
While responding to a satirical Mr. Maher about just how fucked America is, now officially AA+ downgraded... Dr. Romer said we are 'pretty darned fucked.' She is absolutely right!

As Americans and the world observe the domestic and global uncertainty financially, economically, and in all other ways... this latest successful hostage taking strategy by Republicans brings us to the official beginning of American austerity.
Even though default has been averted, a downgrade in America's credit rating is still very much a possibility.
Nothing has been fixed.
Trillions in upcoming cuts will mean massive job losses, and an uncertainty in America that will be even more brutal than what we have experienced so far. Desperately needed revenues are not a part of this package.
We are at the official beginning of austerity in America.
