A great Friday is my hope for each and every one of you. Thank you for stopping by IDECLAIR MEDIA… and listening to THE IDECLAIR SHOW… http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theideclairshow/2011/10/28/the-ideclair-show
Today, the war on women is reaching a new intensity as in Mississippi a draconian (and ridiculous) effort to criminalize birth control, a miscarriage, and an abortion… could be enacted. The “Personhood Amendment” could become law, and would have a bone chilling effect on the rights, health, and lives of women.

An excerpt:
“Personhood amendments were once considered too radical for the mainstream pro-life movement, but in the most conservative state in the country, with an energized, church-mobilized grass roots, Mississippi could well be the first state to pass one. Initiative 26 even has the state’s top Democrats behind it.”
My question is this: where is the war on male irresponsible sexual behavior? Why is the war only on women? Where is the war on the sexually inappropriate, sexually self destructive behavior of males? WHERE IS THAT WAR?
Will men be incarcerated for spreading their sperm irresponsibly? If you want less abortions… MEN SHOULD BEHAVE RESPONSIBLY SEXUALLY… AND WAIT!
YES, MEN SHOULD BEHAVE RESPONSIBLY SEXUALLY… AND WAIT!

We hear constantly about the unemployment crisis in America… however we don’t hear a lot of what is underneath this crisis that is so much more worrisome.
Isn’t the unemployment, and underemployment situation in America a national security issue?

“11 Reasons Why the Unemployment Crisis Is Even Worse Than You Think”
“Here are 11 unemployment facts that mass media underreport or ignore completely.”
An excerpt:
“The unemployment rate remained at 9.1 percent for August. Unemployment to the mass media generally centers on that single point within the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) monthly employment report. There is passing mention of discouraged workers and the underemployed, but the true scale of the jobs crisis is given scant attention considering the magnitude of the problem.”
>> And speaking of the “magnitude of the problem…”
Have you seen this?
Looks like the Dems on the SuperCommittee (that no one voted for, and all are impacted by) are caving on massive cuts, and little revenue.
MUST READ. Thank you Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
“Democrats Offer Significant Concessions
Plan Is to the Right of Bowles-Simpson and Gang of Six”
An excerpt:
“The Democratic plan contains substantially smaller revenue increases than those bipartisan proposals while, for example, containing significantly deeper cuts in Medicare and Medicaid than the Bowles-Simpson plan. The Democratic plan features a substantially higher ratio of spending cuts to revenue increases than any of the bipartisan plans.”
>> Former President of Mexico Vicente Fox has gone REAL RAW RIGHT NOW…
http://www.alternet.org/story/152830/former_mexican_president%27s_passionate_call_to_the_us%3A_stop_bloodshed_and_legalize_drugs
“Former Mexican President’s Passionate Call to the US: Stop Bloodshed And Legalize Drugs”
“In his call for the United States to accept – and change – reality, former Mexican President Vicente Fox pointed to the history of prohibition and shifting popular opinion.”
“Fox explains that the United States should learn from the history of alcohol prohibition and that the answer to today’s violence is to legalize drugs and treat them as a health issue, rather than a criminal issue.”
The demand for drugs in America is unprecedented, and with a for profit system of incarceration (profits for private prisons), the more prisoners… the more profit from systems of incarceration. Combine all that with massive loss of life, and uncontrolled violence, the failed ‘war on drugs’ has to be rethought, and recalibrated.
The issue of drug use in America should be addressed, and approached as a public health issue, and NOT a criminal issue. PERIOD.
All this and more today… thanks for listening. Talk soon.
